He has worked with dozens of startups in mentorship roles through StartupSauna, Startup Wiseguys & Seedcamp. Additionally he is the founder of the largest digital art festival in the Nordics.
Eemeli Aro is a full-stack developer and Doctor of Science candidate at Aalto University. He has worked with everything from embedded C code to the latest JavaScript technologies. Before joining Solu, he was developing an autonomous group of underwater robots for oceanographic research and a hands-on robotics course for first-year university students. In his spare time, he has been organising some of Europe’s largest science fiction conventions.
Joona has nearly 20 years of professional design experience working in a wide range of branding, user interface and product concepts and designs. This Japan-raised, Finland living entrepreneur-designer turns bold visions into reality. Joona has been involved with Solu from the very beginning and his visionary design can be seen throughout the Solu Hardware and Software.
The gentle giant from the north, Teemu, is a top notch developer with a great eye for software, engineering and technology. This former Nokia engineer knows how to develop a winning product. And yes, he rides bikes.
Eugene has a knack for coding which is only surpassed by his unbeatable focus for solving hard problems. Below a very discrete persona lies a professional software engineer in the truest meaning of the word.
Maria is the lead of the hardware development here at Solu. As a former Program Manager for Nokia, she has a strong system level understanding of mobile devices and experience of both software and hardware development processes from requirements definition to mass production.
