Besides merging Facebook Messenger with Instagram’s Direct Messages, Instagram has introduced some other incredible features, including disappearing messages, selfie stickers, chat colors, reactions, and much more. Out of all, my best-loved feature so far has to be selfie stickers. The latest Selfie Stickers enable you to create Boomerang-style animated stickers that look cool. If you have been unable to find the feature, I have listed the entire process of creating & sharing the stickers below. So without further any ado, let’s gets begin.
Create your Selfie Stickers on Instagram
This feature is rolled out with the latest update of the Instagram version 165.0. Must ensure your Instagram is updated for this method to work. Create a new Sticker, open the Instagram app, and click the Story icon (Camera icon) on the upper left corner. Click the shutter button to capture an image; it does not have to be specific because we need the story preview to get to the Selfie sticker option.
You would find the Sticker button on the top; next to the link button, click the sticker button to open the available stickers list. Click the Search box to find the selfie sticker option.
Click the Selfie Sticker button from the search results, and it would open the Selfie Sticker page where you can easily create the latest emoji stickers with your face.
Right now, the Instagram app supports merely a few reactions, like heart eyes, fire, celebration, crying, 100, etc. Create your Selfie Sticker, align your face to fill the preview circle, and choose an emoji from the row of options.
When you have selected the emoji of your choice, click the Boomerang button to record a short clip, you do not need to press and hold; a click would suffice. You can repeat until you like the output sticker and then press Save Sticker. Moreover, you can create as many Selfie Stickers as you want and then Save. The Instagram app would keep it safe, and you can also use it in your chats & Stories later.
When you have created the stickers and desire to share it with someone, open the chat and type an emoji (any emoji would do) in the input text field. As soon as you type an emoji, you would find the Selfie Sticker button to replace the Camera button. Click the Selfie Sticker button.
Tapping the Selfie Sticker button would bring up the same Sticker creation interface, and you would find all the saved Stickers below. Click the Saved ticker of your choice to send it away to your buddies or create a new one on the spot.
